Anderson Handle # 39-301

Contractor from Norwich, Ct.

When installed and the handle is in the closed position, what is the dimension of the handle from the glass ?......Trying to get 2.25" between the handle and the front edge of the window

jamb so a 2" blind will clear the handle and stay in plane with the front edge of the jamb.

What I did just now was to attach the 39-301 onto a typical Andersen 39-154 cover. The distance to the base of the handle when closed to where the cover plate goes under the wood sill cover is 1".

Now, the wood sill cover depth on Andersen windows is approximately 2". However when the operator is installed underneath the wood sill cover, I believe it is notched to approximately 1". By my calculations I've come up with a depth of around 2" between the base of the handle to the window sash.

Take note I don't have a Andersen window in front of me to check out. These are all approximate dimensions. The only true way to find out is actually install the 39-301 on your particular window. Also keep in mind that when it comes to casement windows and blinds, you're rarely going to have the clearance you need. You'll need to find a way to install the blinds in such a way that they don't interfere with the operation of the casement operator.
