Anderson Window Balance

Question

I need to repair 3 old Anderson windows. My contractor gave me this part - I would need to replace these on my 3 windows. I'm not sure what size to order nor how many I actually need for 3 windows - do I need 3 or 6 parts? Thanks for your help.

Hello there. There are two of these Andersen sash balances in each window, in the top corners of the window frame. See the guide listed on this page that goes into detail about what you need to know about these balances.

Your specific balance in this photo is the 24-L9-1327. Note however that this balance is just for the left-handed side of the window; you'll need to replace the other balance in the window with the opposite-handed counterpart, the 24-R13-927. Let me know if you have further questions.
