My A/W sliding door thumb lock broke

A quick learner from North Wildwood NJ says:
I have a broken Thumb Lock on an Anderson sliding glass door that needs to be replaced. there is no key lock on the other side of the door. The plate has two screws and the letters AW in a small square. The door faces the sea so I think pieces have corroded and broke inside.

Can you tell me the part that I need to buy to replace it.

Thanks

This looks like our 82-043 Andersen thumb latch. The 82-043 is Andersen's updated style of your existing latch. Though the 82-043 looks different, it should fit fine. Also make sure to check your mortise lock to ensure that it's working properly. Most of the time, I find that it's the mortise lock that breaks the thumb latch. Check out our 82-037 mortise lock. The 82-037 is the most popular Andersen mortise lock used with the 82-043 thumb latch.
