Anderson Window Sash 3046

Greetings,

Before I place an order for the sash balance, I want to make sure I have the correct number. I did some research and found that 24-939 would be the correct balance. I need 4 total. 2 Right and 2 Left. Is the 24-939 sash balance correct, and will it be sufficient for both right and left applications?

Please advise.

Hello there, Walt. I am actually a little stumped by your sash balance. The numbers you have stamped on the box does not match up to anything we have. Would there happen to be any other numbers stamped on the box that we can not see in your photos? perhaps the other sash balance in the window may be a little clearer with reading the numbers. I also wonder if the staple on tip of the numbers may be throwing us off a little bit.

Hi, I saw the number under the staple, I am assuming that it is either a 3, 5, or 9. I don't have immediate access to the windows. They belong to a client and are in his apartment buildings. These windows are all the same. I was hoping that the lower sash number would be of assistance. It is 3046. I used the 11600-17 & R30 - ?89 for cross reference to the 24-939 part.

I will try to get over to look at it again. I didn't want to remove them since the upper sash was still attached. ... I didn't want to create any problems for the tenants.

After going back and doing some further research, I do in fact think our 24-939 Andersen sash balance box would make a good replacement. This balance box could work on a 30469 Narrowline window.

Is there a right and left for this part number? .. or .. Will it suffice for both sides?

The 24-939 can be used for either the right or left side of the window.
