I have been researching this but haven't found a match yet. No printed numbers are on the handle. The two hooks on the end and the overall length is what I'm having the issue with. Thank You.

Hello,

Take a look at the Andersen 39-206 operator, which uses the 39-286 handle. This is a newer style similar to the one you need. Take a look to see if you can adapt it to work for your awning window. Thanks for posting.

There were no further comments regarding the recommended replacement part, which was not an Andersen part but looked like it could be adapted. If a query is answered, and there is a reply, does it get posted. We ask because we know that home in the photo, and are searching for a part for another identical window at that property. The owner has no idea about it...wondering if the part was tried or if they chose not to pursue it and did not respond to you.

We have not heard back from this customer on weather or not the part worked for their repair but if they have any additional updates, they will be posted directly to this thread.

If a customer tries a part we recommended, we always display it for posterity. In this case the customer in question unfortunately never got back to us. Dave's recommendation from back in 2023 remains our best suggestion, but given the age of the window and the fact that the original part is no longer made, you have some work ahead of you if you want to get the modern 39-206 to function properly. It won't be a 1:1 replacement, so retrofitting is necessary.
