Anderson awning window operator

Home Owner from Omaha, NE
I have two broken window operators. They have two different numbers stamped on them, but they look the same and they operate identically sized windows. One of the stamped numbers is 7198-17 and the other is 7191-2.

Hello,

Take a look at our 39-206 Andersen awning operator and see how the dimensions compare to yours. Thank you!

The part that connects the two arms is about 13" on ours.

I see the difference in the size of the mounting plate and, honestly, I'm not sure if it will make a difference. I'm going to forward your photos to one of our casement window experts to confirm if the 39-206 is the best replacement that we can offer. They will reach out as soon as more information is available.

Thanks! To clarify, the part that connects the two arms (i.e., the part that is measured at 6-15/16" in your picture) is the one that measures at roughly 13" on mine. If you look at that part in my picture, you'll see two open sections or "holes" or "notches" or whatever you want to call them on each end of it. That's where it attaches to my window. I don't see the same spaces on the item you have listed. And beyond that, the open spaces on my part are easily wider apart than 6-15/16", so I don't think yours could attach to my window even if it did have those open notches.

Hello,

The 39-206 is the operator that Anderson suggests to replace your older style operator. The 39-206 comes with new sash brackets that attach to the bar on the operator. I don't think you'll have a problem using this as a replacement.
