Anderson balance replacement

I have 200 series narroline double hung windows (size 3052) and need to replace the balance kits as several strings have broken. How do I know which replacement to order without taking the window apart first ?

Hi there!

I'm assuming you need an Andersen sash balance, correct? If so, we'll need you to take a picture of the stamps on your balance so that we can see them. That will tell us which balance you need.

So that short answer to my question is YES I need to take the window apart to get at the existing Anderson sash balance ? I would have thought there was an Anderson parts catalog that would have the info based on the window size. Is it worth me trying to reach out to Anderson directly ?

I'm afraid using window size isn't always accurate. We'd be happy to help but we'll need to see those stamps on your balance. The decision is ultimately up to you!
