Anderson casement window operators

Question

1950 Andersen casement window operators, left and right hand, measurement as shown in photos, #2420 on underside.

My research has shown that Andersen has a replacement part #7073A,B and a channel 0532108 that would also need to be used. They get $211 and $21 respectively for the items. I have 17 of these in my house, many not functioning properly, and I'll figure out something else rather than spend that kind of money. If you know of another companies product that would work, I will consider. Thanks.

Thanks for reaching out. You're right, these old operators are no longer made. They're just too old. We don't have a confirmed substitute, but I've had some past customers tell me that they got our 39-020 and 39-021 to work. You'd also probably need a new 39-520 track to put on the sash. Furthermore, the different style base may require that you alter the wood sill trim to accommodate the shape. However, even after all that, I cannot guarantee that this will work. Your parts are just too old to make a guarantee.
