Anderson patio door Lock 2573558 / 7700-14 and latch

Quick Learner from Macon Ga
I need replacement parts for patio door lock made by Anderson Window. It's an old door. The lock is stamped with 2573558 and another number 7700-14. The latch has no numbers on it. The receiver works fine. I just need the correct part numbers to order those 2 parts. Thanks!

Unfortunately the 2573558 is obsolete, but fortunately it can be replaced with our 82-037 Anderson Reachout Deadlock Assembly. Take a look and let us know if you have further questions.

We have a latch with the number 7700-14, I think your 82-037 is the correct replacement? What is broken is the "bar" that goes through the latch to the thumb turn that lifts the catch into lock & unlock, does this include this part?

Thanks for reaching out to us. That code is commonly associated with the 82-037, but that's far from a guarantee. A photo would allow me to better advise on what product will work.

I'm also not sure about the bar you mention, but it sounds like it might be the tail of the thumb lever. That's an entirely different part, though, and if that's all that broke then your mortise may be in working condition. Photos would really help clarify matters. Would that be something you could upload to this page?

I have this same issue. It is the tail on the thumb lever that broke. The lock works with a screw driver. How can I go about replacing this?

If the thumb lever is what broke, then that's what needs to be replaced. I'd be happy to help, though I will need a photo of the original parts in order to recommend a match.
