Anderson sash balance J3 5#23 784.

Question

Hi - my anderson windows are at least 30 years.  My guess would be early 1980's. The balance strings have snapped.  I dismantled the header and sash balance is stamped with the Anderson name and logo.  The model number stamped on the case is J3 5#23 784 (the space between the 3 and 7 is reduced).  I was unable to find this model on your site.  Can you offer any suggestions?

I sure can. I have one suggestion in particular, in fact. I recommend our 24-531, which is meant to replace Andersen sash balances stamped with "5#23."
