This might be the 39-499 Andersen Straight Arm Operator. Its opposite-handed version is the 39-500. Take a look and see if you think this might be what you seek.

This is from an older build around 97, do I need any adapters?

If your window was made in '97 then I would recommend the 39-362 adapter, yes. This is used to install Andersen operators of this profile that were made from 1995 to 1998.

For context, the 39-499 and 39-500 are made for windows made from 1999 to the present day.
