hi, I have 2 Anderson windows (etched on glass 8170) I am able to make out on the balancer part 11600-2 and D 277 127-81 8. I would remove the part and send photos but I am unsure on how to lower the top shash to remove the plastic covering. The top sash seems to be plugged with a shim on the bottom frame along the plastic track. Any advice can you give?

OK, It takes me a little bit of time to learn. I removed all of the paint that held the top sash closed and was able to reveal the Sash Balancer. I have pics. Again, Thanks for your help.

Hello, Nora! Looks like your balance has a "7#27" stamped on the front end. That tells me that you can use our 24-737 Andersen sash balance as a replacement.
