Anderson window sliding door lock - broken internal piece

All markings in picture - the metal piece that rotates the tumbler is broken. Looking for best way to repair.

Does the entire assembly need to be replaced?

If your inside lock is still in good condition, I don't see any reason to replace it. You might want to try to throw it with a slotted screwdriver to make sure it still turns without the latch lock.
