Hello there. It looks like you need new spiral balances, which are these rod mechanisms in your window that regulate the opening and closing of the sash. I'm confident we can help, but there's a few different kinds of spiral balances, so we'll need more information to narrow down what you have. See the videos below that show how to remove and install spiral balances, as well as the critical information we'll need from you to identify your replacement. Note that you're going to want to use a spiral balance that still has that outer plastic tube intact for measurements, like the one in your second photo.

You also might want to make sure the pivot shoes in these windows are intact also. The pivot shoes are the plastic blocks that the bottom of the spiral balance connect to, and from which the window tilts from. You show one in your first photo. If any of your pivot shoes are damaged, show us a picture of it removed from the window and also tell us its width and thickness. We should be able to find a replacement from there. The video below shows how to remove and replace these shoes. Let us know if you have any other questions.

Here are some pictures to document my window spiral balances. I see that they are broken on the upper end where they attach to the frame. Can I get a pair of these and a winding tool on order, please?

Thanks for getting back to us. Looking at these photos, I feel confident that you have either our 3/8" diameter Series 900 or 9/16" diameter Series 600. Your next step should be to measure the diameter of your tube as carefully as you can and pick the better size. Note that you need to measure the outer plastic tube, not the internal metal spring.

As for charging tool, that would be our 75-006. You may place all orders directly on our site at your convenience.

these are definitely 3/8" series 900 spirals. Note that they are encased in a white plastic tube. I need 2 of them and the charging tool. How do I get them on order?
