Argo

Handy Person from Minnesota

I have some apartment buildings that have Argo tilt windows. I am in need of replacement parts but could some help identifying the parts. I need pivot bars. Mine are approximately 3" x 3/8". Also channel balances, my channels are 13 inches long and have a marking: 13BSL. I could also use some latches but I can't figure out how to remove them.

I would very much appreciate any help.

Thanks for posting! To determine the correct replacement balances need for your window, I'll need to see a photo of an undamaged balance removed from the window. Unfortunately, the stamp does not indicate the type of balance needed for your window. It only tells the weight range your balances should be able to carry. I'm also unable to identify it based on the brand.

May I please see a photo of the balance in the window? There is a chance we may be able to give instructions on how to remove the balance.

Once you have them removed, I'll need to see a photo of any attachments that may be on the to or bottom of the balance and I'll need to know the stamp from the balance.

If this is a tilt window, I'll need to see any attachments that could possibly be left behind in the window or that could possibly be attached to the bottom of the window. If there is a hook at the top of the balance, I'll need to see the space in the window channel where the hook connects.

I'll also need to see a photo of the pivot bar removed from the window to determine the right replacement.

Let me know if you have any questions.
