Assistance for Sliding Door Rollers

Home Owner from South Florida
Hello,

I was informed by a CSR at your location that you could help me in finding a replacement for a wheel which no longer works on a sliding door (manufactured in the early 70's). I believe that the roller I need is similar to product code# 81-071. I have included several pictures of the roller needing to be replaced. In addition, I was able to measure the same features of this wheel which you have included measurements of when selecting the product code.

Wheel Diameter = 1 1/4" same as mine
Wheel Thickness = 5/16" either 4 or 5/16
Body Width = 1 11.16" mine has 2"
Body Height = 1 1/2" same as mine
Body Gap = 11/16" same as mine

So the biggest difference is in body width and possibly to a lesser extent wheel thickness. Can you please offer me the assistance that I need in learning whether this is the roller that I may use or whether you may even have something more in line with my needs.

Please find attached 3 pictures taken. I hope to hear back from you asap.
Thank-you.

In reviewing some of the posts shown under product code 81-071, I found on the date of 7/5/13 the same type of roller that the blogger speaks to. It looks like the 81-071 does not match the groove cut out that exists in the version that I have. Would you be able to correspond with the individual that initiated the conversation to learn if he was able to replace his old worn out roller and which model was used if so?

Hi there. Unfortunately, your Peachtree roller is no longer available and has not been for quite some time. I am aware of the previous discussion you are referring to. Since this customer did not reply to us, we can not say whether or not our advisement worked for them. I believe the best way to resolve this problem, in this case, would be to replace your wheels with our 81-226 kit. The wheels are 1-1/4" in diameter and are 5/16" thick. Take a look and get back to us with some thoughts.

My apologies. I typed the number in wrong. It is 81-266.
