Atrium Door Latch/Lock 20 yrs old

A home owner from Los Angeles, California says:

To Whomever,

I was referred to you by  Atrium Windows and Doors in Dallas, Texas. I contacted her firm about a door of theirs that was installed in my home by a contractor about 20 years ago.

Attached are three JPG picture files and one PDF file. The PDF was made from the information pack that was left by the installation contractor.

Of particular interest in the PDF is the item pointed-to as #4. Specifically a small spring is broken or unattached at one end in the closed LATCH ADJUSTMENT mechanism.

The adjustment unit that goes inside the door measures 3-1/8 high X 1-1/8 inches deep in the door. The distance between the brass handle attaching bolts is 4". Also the inside handle is brass and the outside handle is white.

What, if anything, can you do to help.

Thank you

Bill

Thanks for posting, Bill! Looks like you need a new mortise lock. See our 82-218, I'm confident this will be a good match for your door. Look it over and let me know if you agree.
