Atrium double hung tilt in windows

Contractor from Suffolk County New York
My Atrium windows are approximately 15 years old and were made in their North East Plant which was shut down some years ago. I spoke to a representative at Atrium in the Carolinas and he referred me to Swisco. He said I need a "Balance Winding Tool" to wind the spring balance that has gotten loose. The lower sash will not stay up, it falls when it is lifted. The only winding tool that came up during my such on your website was for non-tilting windows.

Do you have what I need?

If pictures would be helpful, please let me know.

Thank you,
Sid

Thanks for posting! It sounds like the tool you need is our 75-006 Spiral Balance Charging Tool for Tilt Windows.

Make sure to also see our tutorial video on how to replace tilt-window spiral balances. This video will show you the proper method for charging your hardware.
