Automatic door closer question

A quick learner from US says:
Hello, I was asking concerning the automatic safety door closer. My interior doors are made of boards which seems to be weak thus cannot put the other door closer. Children have been banging the door on its frame and even when they open the door it bangs on the table nearby. My question is, the weight of the automatic safety door closer will it be able to be sustained by my door. Also, does the closer help with the door opening, in terms of reducing the tension when opening or is it just when closing?

Dave Sr. from SWISCO responded:

The 32-507 closer will give you some resistance when opened. Like a  storm door with a more typical closer, you will get some resistance when you go to open the door but only within reason. Some banging may occur if these children are particularly determined,  but that's the case for any closer you come across.

I can tell you that the 32-507 are adjustable to the amount of closer power you want. Look at the related video, too, this will give you a better idea of how these function.
