Awning Window Hinge12 Inch

Quick Learner from San Francisco
I have a right side awnng window hinge that is broken. (The photo shows the left side hinge.) I believe it is a 3-bar hinge - please confirm. It is 12 inch hinge. Do you carry the replacement hinge? Also, is it sold as a pair for the leftand right hinges?

Thanks for reaching out to us. I've never heard of a 3-bar hinge before. We sell 2-bar and 4-bar, though. You may want to triple check to confirm exactly what you have. It looks like a 4-bar to me.

In the meantime, we sell only two 12" long 4-bar hinge sets. See our 36-022 and 36-022HD, which is just a heavy duty version of the original. These are sold individually (not in a pair) but can be used for either a right or left hand facing window.

OK, thanks. Maybe I don't understand what constitutes a "bar". There is the part that attaches to the window frame, and three bars in the hinge tnat move. All added together would be a 4-bar hinge.

Yes, I agree. That would be the 4-bars described in the name of a 4-bar hinge. Either way, 3-bar hinge is not something that we sell, nor is that something I've ever seen in the industry. The two parts mentioned above remain our best option. If you have any doubts, your next step should be to remove one of the existing hinges to verify its exact make, size, and how it compares to the two recommended products.
