Awning Window Operator

Home Owner from Baldwin WI
Have 20 year old Marvin awning window in the garage that the crank shaft snapped off. The arm is 9 1/2" from center of arm pivot to the center of the gear. The top set of screw holes are 3" on center. This is a Trust operator with the number 45251 stamped on the bottom. I have found a couple of operators on your site but they don't have the same type of track connector, they have either a plastic wheel or stainless steel. The track connector on the current arm looks like it has a wire clip holding in place. Do I need to order one these and remove the wheel and replace with the original track connector or order a new window track as well

Thanks for writing in. Hm, this is pretty unusual. It looks like you have a casement window operator that has been altered to work for your awning window. This is not a standard setup, and we can't offer an exact match. However, we might have an alternative that could work for you--you can see if you can use the proper awning operator as a replacement. The slide shoe your old modified operator connects to is our 36-078; the awning operator that works with these slides is our 39-348. Please note that the slides are sold separately from the operator. Take a look at these parts and let us know what you think. Also note that the 39-348 is meant to work with a 26-3/4" guide bar. Please make sure your guide bar has this length in order for the awning operator to work. If not, let us know; we'd be happy to bring this guide bar in for you.
