Awning Windows - Sealing Issue

Hello,

I have five existing lever lock awning operators in my home that are basically identical to 39-070. I'm not sure of the existing brand and I'm not sure of the age (they are at least 20 years old). Visually, the existing operators look to be in OK shape, but they do a very poor job of sealing the bottom of my windows closed, there are gaps on the bottom up to an inch wide - which is a problem in MN winters. The operators will close the window until the lever is moved (clockwise) 135

Sounds like a problem with the weatherseal, not the operator. If you can, remove a small sample of the bottom seal you have now and show us a few pictures of its profile. That way, we can see the shape, which is key when it comes to identifying a match. From there we can recommend a possible replacement.
