Awning crank window Mechanism

Home Owner from Gladwin,Michigan

I have a window with the awning crank mechanism that is broken at the handle and I need to replace the entire crank mechanis. I measured the window crank with and it's about 20 to 21 inches in length and I see that your picture shows that you have one for 25 1/2 inches wide I'm just wondering if you sell a smaller one Or with the 25 1/2 work for me.

As a matter if fact, we do have a smaller one! See our 39-083, I think you'll find this is a little closer to what you need.

I noticed in the video that the awning crank mounts to a bracket under a ledge on the window. The window that I want to replace the awning crank on has just a flat mounting surface. Do you provide a different mounting bracket that attaches to a flat surface of a window or do I need to add a piece of wood to make your mounting bracket work?

I don't think you need to add anything. Our operator should mount to the bracket on your sash the same way it mounts to any other type of sash that accommodates it.

One last question, does the new awning crank come with a new handle? Thanks

No, you'd need our 39-114L if you need a replacement handle as well.

Please let us know if you have any more questions. Thank you!
