Awning hinge?

I think I need part of a hinge for my awning windows. But how do I attach it? It looks like I have big rivets.

Your hinge looks like our 39-539 pair. The problem you describe can be an issue when repairing these older aluminum awning windows. If you can't get the original type rivet at a hardware store in your area, try using a large pop rivet. That's what I've done for projects like this in the past and found it worked fine.
