Awning operator replacement

A quick learner from North Carolina says:

All the dimensions match up with your part no 39-280 except your 2.5 dimension and the 3/8 dimension. My link arm is 2 1/8" on center and the hole is 3/16". Top to bottom screw ho,es are 5-3/16". What do you recommemd?

Tom from SWISCO responded:

I don't think the link arm length will matter too much; awning window linkage allows a certain level of play and you can get away with a difference in that measurement. The hole size is another matter, however. The bad news is that I couldn't find anything with a 3/16" hole. It may not be a size that's made anymore. I also think our 3/8" might be a bit too big to feasible use as a substitute.

The only other operator I was able to find that's similar is our 39-017, but the hole is still off at 5/16". I'm not sure if we have anything else that can work as a replacement. Your operator may just be too old to get a hold of anymore. I am sorry we cannot offer a better option.
