Awning window replacement crank mechanism

Home Owner from Minneapolis, Minnesota
The crank on our awning window doesn't operate - crank won't catch internally and just spins loosely inside the slot. It looks like the previous owner did a DIY fix by drilling partway through the mechanism but if that worked at one point, it doesn't anymore. I think we may need to replace the whole operator mechanism although the arms appear to be fully functional. Only stamps or marking are numbers on the inside of the crank handle, "45054" and shown in the picture "TRUTH" with an arrow pointing towards the inside.

Hi there!

It appears the worm gear came out with your handle. When this happens, I'm afraid it means the entire operator has broken down and needs to be replaced. Start by taking a look at our 39-083 and 39-140. Compare our dimensions with yours to see if one of these matches up to your original assembly.

Thanks - 21 1/2" appears to match! So if we combine 39-083 and the handle 39-114L, is that a full set for a new operator?

We don't sell those items as a set but the 39-083 and 39-114L are fully compatible!
