Awning window torque bar plate

Question

I have awning window with 3 panes. At the bottom there is a torque bar which has a connecting plate on both ends which attaches to window frame. One of the connecting plate (on the side were the window operator) is broken due to corrosion and hence the operator won't open/close the windows. The bottom torque is fitted inside the Torque bar bearing plastic component similar (could be the same) 36-082 with one screw attached to the window side frame. I removed these screws but could not get the bar out. The bearing after removing the screws seems to rotate a quater turn up/down but could not pull it out from the frame. Is there some way to remove the bar. I disconnected the arm from the window and operator etc. Also would you have new torque bar with the arm at the end. I can send photos if that will make it more clear.

Thanks for reaching out to us. To remove the torque bar and arms, you will need to disconnect the operator from the window first. Then remove the screws that secure the nylon bearings at the end of the torque bar and any screws that are attached to the arms. With the screws removed, you will need to pull out the bar from both ends. Try using some spray lubricant to help with the repair.
