I have Lawson windows installed when my home was built 13 years ago.
I am trying to find the correct balance.
The channel is marked 34DS48L.
What size and weight do I need??

Hello,

We'd be happy to help but we would need to see photos of your balance assembly removed from the window, including both end attachments, to determine the correct series. You would also need to measure the metal channel to confirm the correct length for your replacements.

Your stamp code indicates that your balances use double springs. These balances may need to be custom ordered since the 48 in your stamp may mean that you have a 48-pound sash, which is heavier than many of our stock balances can support. We'll be able to confirm once we can see photos of your original balance. Thank you!

Hello....Thanks,
The metal only part of the balance is 35"
The channel is 1/2" deep and 5/16 and 9/16" wide
The plastic bottom is 1" wide.
The window is large and heavy.
I have enclosed some photo's.
What do you suggest???

Thanks for getting back to us. Could you confirm if the bottom fitting matches the 1" depth below? It's tough to tell if the 1" measurement you provided is for the depth or width of the wings.

Also, we'll need to know the number of balances that you'd like to order, with the minimum being two, to get an order link and price quote ready for you.

Thanks for the quick response.
According to your diagram...yes it is 1" in depth.
The length is also 1" and the wing width is 15/16.

I will need two (2) balances. I'm sure I will need more in the future...but just 2 for now.
