BF Rich Pivot Bar

Question

I have a BFRrich vinyl double hung window that's approx 19 years old. The pivot pin on the right side broke. I know the manufacturer is out of business. I hope you can help with a replacement pivot pin.

Hello, Jim. I am familiar with this pivot bar, but it's unfortunately not made anymore. The only product we sell that has any hope of working is our 26-446.

The design of this part is nearly identical but with one major difference: the front tip has a round collar at the end rather than a flat "T," like your original. The only way you could get this to work is if you were able to grind that collar down flat.

I understand that this is no small task, and even after that there's no guarantee that this will work. It is, however, our best bet. You should look it over and see if you think it's worth considering.
