BSI 2865 29" Channel Window Balancer

Quick Learner from Florida
Hello,

This assembly broke and I need to purchase a replacement. It is a BSI 2865, 29" long, 1/2" Channel Window Balancer. Can you please advise which replacement unit I need and if you sell it?

Hello there!

Thank you for reaching out to us. What you have here is an extended travel channel balance. We can help but this will have to be a custom order due to its configuration. Can you just show me a photo of the metal hook attached at the end of the pulley cord? Can you also tell me the number of balances you'd like to purchase?

It's also important to note our replacements will have a metal channel length that measures 28-7/8" long, not 29". You may want to triple-check just in case since custom orders are non-refundable.

Thanks, Emily. I will send you the clip photos and dimension this weekend.

Okay, attached are photos of the clip. Not sure how precise you need to be on the channel length but I used two tape measures and both came in between 28-13/16 and 28-7/8. Only one balancer on this window broke, but it may make sense to replace the other at the same time.

Thank you for getting back to me! Our replacements are only made with metal channel lengths ending in 7/8" increments so I can't promise it will work for you but you're certainly welcome to order them. I've just emailed you an order link and price quote for 2 balances that you can use to place an order on our website. Please also note that there is a 5-6 week lead time.

Hi Emily,

Can you please send me a quote for 1 balance? At this price, I want to be sure it fits before I order a second balance.

Thanks.

Our minimum for customs orders is 2, unfortunately. We always recommend replacing balances in pairs anyway. If you were to pair a new balance with an old one, the new balance would wear out a lot quicker since it has to pick up the slack for the older counterpart. I am sorry for any inconvenience.
