Balance

Question

I have a window which is stuck. These pictures are from the window and one exactly like it, same dimensions. Also the spring latch on the same side that allows the window to swing down is broken. This window is in a prefabricated house from Castle Housing of Pa Inc. from 2006, and I think they are out of business.

Thanks for posting! Your window is likely stuck because the balance assembly is damaged in so way. There is a good chance we can provide you with a replacement balance, however, to be absolutely sure, I'll need to see a photo of an undamaged balance removed from the window.

I am specifically looking to see any attachments that could be connected to the balance or to the bottom of the sash. I'll also need to know the stamp from the metal channel of the balance.

To determine the correct replacement for the broken tilt latch, I'll need to see a photo of that latch as well. If it has installation holes, I'll need to know the measurement for the distance between them, from center to center; written out.
