Balance

Quick Learner from Illinois
My window balances need to replace they have a hook at the top which they're screwed into the window frame and then connected to the string and connected inside. You have a part string part in the connected at the bottom. There's a T-shaped piece comes out of the bottom of the window and I presumed there was a plastic piece but That has been broken so I don't see it

Hey there,

Thanks for posting! It looks like your balance has a ribbed channel. I believe we may be able to make a replacement recommendation we can make for your balances but I will need to see a photo of the attachments to confirm the correct replacements.

The stamp from the balance only indicates the amount of weight it can support. Unfortunately, I cannot use it to identify the exact balance replacement you need.

Please see the attached pictures. The balance is broken, so I took a picture of where it was attached to the window frame And the metal part with the spring inside. Spring has been disconnected from the plastic pivot lock part, which is supposed to be At the lower part of the balance, which is broken and does not exist anymore

Is there another window with an undamaged balance that has this shoe attached to it? Unfortunately, I'll need to see this piece to identify the exact replacement you need. You'll also need to confirm the width of the shoe.

There is a chance these may need to be a custom assembly, which are non-refundable and cannot be returned. So, we need to see as much information as possible to ensure we are providing you with the correct product.

Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.

Please see the attached pivot lock piece. What part do you mean by the width of the shoe

Thanks for the photo! Your balances will need to be a custom assembly given that it is a 3/8" wide ribbed channel balance. The shoe you have here is the 15-230 T-Lock Shoe, which has a 1" width.

I've forwarded a link with a quote for (2) of these balances since there is a quantity minimum for custom assemblies. If you would like a larger quantity of balances, please let me know and I'll be happy to update the quote for your.

Don't hesitate to reach out with any other questions!
