Spiral Balance, large tilt window, heavy

A home owner from Florida says:
I have a white spiral balance with 34 inches of length and 1/2 in dia. The window is fairly large tilt window and quite heavy. What color rating should I use.

Your pivot shoe looks like our 15-045. Carefully compare our dimensions and see what you think.

I'm not sure about the balance. can you confirm the diameter of the tube? It should be either 3/8" or 5/8". No balance in this style was ever made with a 1/2" tube. If it's 3/8", I recommend our Series 900. If it's 5/8", I recommend our Series 600 instead. You'll need to weigh your sash on a scale to get the exact weight in order to choose the correct color tip option. That's the only way to know.
