Hello,

We'd be happy to look into this for you, but your balance is too damaged to identify. If you could show us the fitting attached to the end of the pulley cord of an intact balance removed from the other side or an identical window, we can go from there. We'll also need to know the exact length of the metal balance channel. Lastly, please confirm the number of balances you need for each stamp code, with the minimum being two of each. Thank you!

The exact length is 28inchs that I know for sure. And as for the fitting are you talking about the little t looking piece that would attach to the cord and the plate the window slides into?

Yes, we'll need to see how the cord attaches to the pivot shoe or window jamb. Also please confirm if the top of the balance installs with a screw.

It connects with a screw through the hole in the attached photo. There is a plastic piece that sits between that and the frame but that broke as well.

This is the plastic piece that broke that was where the screw was

Great, that confirms how the balance attaches at the top but we'll still need to see how it connects at the bottom to narrow down your replacement options.

In that case, you would need the S770-28 channel balances. The 27DS38 stamp indicates that you may have a 38-pound sash. I'd recommend weighing them to be sure. If so, you can use 28G strength options for those windows, which will support between 36-40 pounds.

The other balances stamped with 27DS41 may be for windows with 41-pound sashes. If so, it may need to be a custom order since our stock balances currently max out at 40 pounds. We'll need to know the number of balances you need with the 41 stamp to move forward.

I would need two of each.

We just sent over an order link and price quote for two 28H stamp balances to support a sash between 40-43 pounds. The 28G stamped S770-28 balances will need to be added to your order directly from our website. Take a look and let us know if you need anything else.
