Balance Issue on Windows

I believe I have an issue with my balance. I am not overly familiar with the naming convention with windows, so I am be using the wrong terminology.

I am including some pictures of the issue. Please let me know if you need further details to diagnose the issue or the piece needed.

I do see a balance installed in your window. What I am not seeing is the issue? Could you get back to us with some details on what the issue is?

On the picture titled broken, the spring mechanism is sticking out of the top of the window. The plastic piece that holds in it in place has broken off.

In the picture labeled intact, the plastic piece is not broken, and the spring mechanism is in place. I have reattached the photos circling each of them in red.

It looks like I need some top sash replacements. I need 5 new ones and it looks like they are 5/8". Does that sound right?

Thank you for clarifying. Yes, it looks like the top sash guide is broken. You probably don't even need to replace your balances. There's a good chance they still work.

I can identify that top sash guide, but I cannot tell what you need. Would it be possible for you to remove the undamaged one on the left side of the window and show me a picture of it by itself. Specifically, I'd like a picture of the front and another picture from the side. Think of it like a mugshot.
