Balance Spring

Question

Hello, I recently purchased a house in Florida and four of the windows do not stay up. It appears all windows are the same type. House was built in 2008 so likely original stock windows. I'm trying to identify what type of springs these are to purchase four sets as well as in the tool I might need.

Thanks for reaching out. This appears to be a tilt window. With that in mind, I recommend the 3/8" Series 900 or 5/8" Series 600. You'll have to measure the diameter of the outer tube to determine the best match.

The broken part in your last photos is called a glazing bead. Can you remove an undamaged sample and show us a clear photo of the end profile?

If you need the pivot shoes, we'll need to see an undamaged one removed from the window along with the confirmed thickness and width.
