Could please tell me which part number I need for the balance bar included in the attached picture

the stamp on the existing one reads as follow

26 5 DV CMC 7

Thanks for posting. I'm confident we can help, but that stamp is not an identifier. It just indicates the balance's strength. Please remove the balance from the window and give us clear photos of the nylon attachments on both ends. The style of attachments tells us the type of balance you have. Also, I'd like to see clear photos of the 'guts' or underside of the metal channel, to verify one extra detail. We should be able to get this going from there.

I also measured the metal piece of the balance bar and it is 27 inches long

Thanks for getting back to me! I think this is either an S380-27 or S385-27. The only difference between these two channel balances is the depth of the bottom nylon shoe, or the 'heel-to-toe' measurement. See the diagram below for reference. Compare both with your old hardware to see what matches best. In either case, for a new stamp option choose 2650.
