Balance channels

Question

I send you two pictures with the existing channels removed from my customers window. Both measures 27" long but what strikes me the most was that they have different stamps. The window is approximately 20 lbs and I need to know what to order. Please reply with advise. Thanks

Hello there. This looks like either an S380-27 or S385-27 Channel Balance. The only difference between these two balances is the depth of the bottom nylon shoe, as shown in the picture below. Compare both with your old hardware to see what matches up.

The only pertinent portion of the stamp are those first three numbers, which are indeed identical. The rest of the data is just manufacturing information. Use a new stamp option of 2640, which is equivalent to your balances' old stamp of 26-4.
