Balance for Craftsman windows

Quick Learner
I bought a house package from Home Depot in Florida and had it shipped to Utila Honduras in central America. I need parts for my craftsman windows. It is called a balance. The window number I gave Home Depot did not match a specific window. I have the needed parts here in Canada. I can ship you a original part that is broken, but all the pieces are there. That is probably the best. What do you suggest? I cannot obtain parts here in Canada from Home Depot. Thanks.

Hey, Brian. We may be able to determine what you need without you shipping anything here. We know that it can be expensive shipping from Canada to the US.

First, I recommend looking through our Sash Support Balances & Hardware section and seeing if you can find a possible replacement for your balance here.

If you can't find it, I'll need to see a few pictures. You can remove the balance from the window and take a few pictures of it for me to look at, then we can work from there.

Hi Tom,

Well I got it figured out to a 351 series or a 390 series. 1/2 inch channel, 22 inches long.

What is the difference in the 19-001 shoe and the 19-002 shoe. They look the same to me? My balance is deffinetely one of the two. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Brian

Hey, Brian. Did you mean 15-001 and 15-002? If so, the main difference lies in their dimensions. Take a look at the image below and see which is closer.

Hey, Tom. Well I measured it and it is 1 inch and 1/8. So I guess it is the 15-001 model. Now, how much per unit and how much to send it to western canada? We do have family in New Jersey and they could possibly pick up the needed parts.

Thanks Brian
