Balance jammed in up position

Thanks for reaching out! The balance spring is constantly pulling it up to the top of the track because of the tension in the spring. The only way to pull it down is by hand. The only secret is patience and elbow grease.

Also, if you are attempting this project alone, it may help to have someone assist you.
