We can assist with a new channel balance, but to further review, are you able to provide additional angles of the top and bottom nylon attachments? From there we can narrow down the series needed for your window. 

The 1490 stamp is an older spring rating that does not directly translate. We will also need to the weight of the window sash to confirm the correct spring strength to support the window sash. The sash will need to be removed and placed on a bathroom scale. Thank you! 

Thanks for getting back to us. Your balance resembles the S395-15 shown below. You'll also need 1450 strength options to support a sash between 13-17 pounds. Take a look and let us know if you need anything else.
