Balance rods

So, as you can see, two of these are rectangular 31-16 rods. No further information is discernible on them. The other is tubular and measures 25" without the tip, which measures an additional 1.625". It has no markings whatsoever. I need two of these tubular rods at this length, and two that are approximately 7 7/16" longer.

Hello, thank you for posting,

To further review, is the spiral balance from a tilt in style window? Can you confirm if the diameter of the tube measures 3/8" or 5/8"?

For the channel balance, we will need to see additional images where we can see the top attachment and inside of the bottom shoe. We will also need to see the inside of the metal channel where we can view the connection point between the spring and pulley system. From there we can narrow down the series needed. Thank you!

Hi Lauren! Thank you for the reply. I'm guessing that by "spiral balance" you mean the tubular balance. None of these are from a tilt in window. They're all either single hung or double hung, if my recollection of the terminology is correct. The diameter of the cylindrical rod appears to be more like 9/16", rather than 5/8". And the more typical, rectangular rods measure 5/8" on the side that would face into the window. I'll attach the additional photos requested. Thank you so much!

Thank you!

Yes, it is normal for the tube to actually measure 9/16" even though it is considered 5/8" in the trade. Since these balances are from a non-tilt window, do you see any brackets under the sash or in the channel that the bottom of the spiral attached to?

It appears the one being shown is missing a pin or a plastic attachment that may have broken off.

As for the channel balance, can I see a side profile view of the top attachment? I believe you may either have the 19-041 or 19-018, but I cannot fully confirm from the lighting of the image.

Can you also confirm the depth of the bottom shoe? It most likely measures either 1" or 1-3/32".

I will still need to see the inside of the metal channel where we can view the connection point between the spring and pulley system. The 31-16 stamp is peculiar from the details of this balance. Is the length of the metal channel excluding the nylon attachments measure 32 inches long?

I may end up needing to know the sash weight as well, if you able to get that while reviewing the other components. The window sash can be placed on a bathroom scale. Thank you for your patience during this process!
