Balance spring for single hung window (vinyl frame)

A home owner from North Bend, WA says:

Hi!

The balance spring measures 14in long, 9/16ths wide and deep. The bottom shoe looks to be 1 3/32nds wide, but my tape only measures in 16ths of an inch. The string in the block and tackle has broken, and the other side looks worn too. So I'll be looking for 2 of these. Please let me know if you need any more info.

Thanks!

Matt

If the shoe depth is at all greater than 1", then it's a safe bet you need the S385-14. You'll want a stamp option of 1340.
