Hi- my aluminum windows have no take out clips to remove the balances. ALSO, those two square holes to pop in the take out clips are not there. Instead, there is just one small screw hole.
Is there an alternate take-out clip that screws in, instead of the pop-in type? Thanks!

In fact there is an alternative. First, find the screw that fits in the hole. Next, screw in the screw just enough to clear the sash but will stop the channel balance. You would also do the same on the other side. From there, raise your sash pass the screws and the sash should disconnect from the sash. You should now be able to remove it.
