Balance tube

A quick learner from Waycross, ga says:
Tube portion measure 30?. 3/8? wide. Window weights 16.2 lbs. Cannot tell what color the tip is, but it looks more yellow. It could have been white and aged to this color. Please help.

Both the red and green tips would fit a 16 pound sash. Green has a little more spring than red. Your tip was red; I'm almost certain. It faded to a brownish orange, which is typical. You can choose whichever one sounds best to you: the strong green tip or the medium red one.
