Balance and Pivot Shoe

Thanks for the post! Can you please send pictures of an intact pivot shoe on the opposite side? It's hard to tell which pivot shoe it is since the shoe is broken.

In order for us to make some recommendations to you, we would need for you to send us a photo of the balance removed from the window. In addition, we would need some measurements of the balance length.

The window had no identifying marks other than "PRISM" on the window locks. These are pictures of the balance and pivot shoe of the bottom sash. I need help getting the right part for the shoe and the replacement balance.

Hi Nancy,

Thanks for the quick reply. I've attached a picture of the intact balance shoe from the opposite side as well as the balance in question. There is a mark on the spring that says "10J". Perhaps that can be of some assistance.

Thanks again for your help. I really appreciate it.

Thank you for the additional photos. Beginning with your coil balance shoe, see if our 15-192 is a good fit. This can be used with the Series 170 coil springs. Since we are able to come up with a spring with the stamped number you gave us, we need or you to get back to us with the exact sash weight of the window.

A home owner from Alexandria, VA says:
Thanks again for the help. The sash weighs 15.4 pounds.

Great!. You can go with our S170-408 coil springs. These carry 8 pounds, so having on on each side will give you 16 total pounds of support. That should work well for your sash.
