I am replacing balance in a Milestone single hung tilt window The balance is stamped (11/2) UNIQUE 27-E-50
The balance measures 28" per you instructions you measure the lenght of the balance? Why is the one I have marked a 27" but measures 28" any insight would be helpful
Secondly I need screen corner keys for the screen frame the milestone window has a screen that has the two top corner keys with a spring loaded tab that hold the screen in Can you help me identify this corner key?
Thanks Mike

Thanks for posting, Mike. Your balance length and stamp appear to be in order. For most channel balances, the first two digits of the stamp are one less than the length. For example, a 15" metal channel would likely have a stamp of 1410.
This isn't necessarily the case for all channel balances, of course, but for most non-tilt channel balances, this is what you will see. Keep in mind that the stamp is only indicative of the weight capacity for your balances--it is not a serial number.
Now, for the corner key, could you please take a few pictures of it and then upload it here for us to look at?

Thanks for getting back to us! Take a look at our 95-218 corner key. It is for 5/16" screen frames and has a pull tab like yours. Could this possibly work as a replacement? If not, or if you're not sure, I'll have to see a few pictures of your corner as removed from the window, and with exact measurements.
