Balancer

I have a Milgard single hung window in need of new balancers. I have attached pics of the part # and ends. Can you tell me which ones I need? Also, the metal part of the balancer is about 33" long.

Hello,

We'd be happy to help but we'll need a bit more information to get started. If you could show us the connecting point between the pulley cord and spring inside of an intact balance, that will help us confirm if you could use our stock balances or if it would need to be a custom order. Thank you!

I don't have easy access to the other balancer, it's at my client's home about 40 mins away.

Unfortunately, that information will be needed to confirm the correct replacement. Our of our stock balances, yours resembles the S380-33 or S385-33 with 3240 strength options. The difference would be the depth of the bottom fitting.

With that being said, we can't confirm if either of these stock balances would work properly without seeing the connecting point between the spring and pulley system.

Ok, so the bottom mic'ed out to the 1 3/32", and the shape of that bottom fitting matches also. If we order the 385 balancer, and for some reason they don't work, are they returnable? At that point I would have the working balancer out and get you definitive pics.
