Balancer

A quick learner says:
I do not have a manufacturer of the balancer needed nor any numbers, markings, etc. Please help to identify what I need to order. The over all length of the damaged balancer is 34" with a width of 5/8".

Thanks for writing in. I am confident we can replace this channel balance for you, but we need to see clearer pictures of the attachment, fitting, or hook that connects to the pivot shoe at the bottom, as well as how the balance connects to the top of the window track. A picture of any stamp code on the metal channel would also be helpful. From there, we'll try and narrow down what you need. Many thanks.

A handy person from NC says:
I can't find any markings on the balancer. These pictures are the best I can do with what I have. I gave you dimensions on my last mailing. Please do the best you can do to try and match up.

Hi there, maybe I can help. This looks like our Series 770 channel balance to me. If the metal channel is 34" long, you want the S770-34

You'll need the stamp off the original metal channel to determine the proper stamp. This indicates the calibration of the spring. If you really can't find any stamp, then your only other option is to weigh the sash on a scale and refer to the chart we have on the S770-34. It's important to be as precise as possible. Do not estimate the weight of your sash. These are delicate systems and you want to make sure the calibration is on point.
