Balancer

Question

I have softlite windows installed by Jack's wholesale windows but having problems with the single coil balancers, can you help me with parts, I heard there is a newer balancer with a double coil but 1 window has the 2 piece single coil but the numbers are 4L then 5 the other side is 4R and 5, shouldn't they be all the same numbers so I need to order balancers with coils, can you help

I'm not sure about any newer balance style, but the hardware you're showing me here match our 15-087 pivot housing and 15-086 tandem housing. Each housing is designed to accommodate one Series 180 coil spring.

If one spring is marked 4 and the other is marked 5, then that means you have 9 pounds of support per side, indicating an 18 pound sash. You should weigh your sash on a scale to confirm that that's correct. If so, you should get the same strength springs.
